That is not a moped, you pedal mopeds to get them going and you are 15 most states willl not let you on the public roads with good reason.
A15 year old can legally ride on public roads.
Be careful looking on line for one. Many are really scooters and many come with bigger engines.
A moped has pedals, like a bicycle. It’s really a motorized bicycle, but a lot heavier than a ordinary bicycle and a pain to have to ride without the motor on.
Wait a year and get a real (small) motorcycle.
Take the MSF course
do not be a cheap skate get your kid a real
bike.
